Jbrary’s Favourite Storytime Books 2022

February 14, 2023February 10, 2023 Jane the Raincity Librarian Post a comment

If you’re a children’s librarian, you probably already know Jbrary, the amazing blog/youtube channel run by children’s librarian Lindsey and Dana.

Every year, Lindsey shares some of her favourite newly published storytime books, and this year she’s included both of my Pajama Press titles, ANIMALS MOVE and BEAR HAS A BELLY!

I’ve said it before but it’s worth repeating – I write books that I would be proud to read aloud in my programs, books that support literacy and early childhood development, build vocabulary and help children become strong readers. Every time a teacher or librarian shares that they’ve used my books in a program or recommended them to a family, it just makes my heart sing, and helps me weather the inevitable storms of the publishing industry. Knowing that fellow literacy professionals see value in my books, it’s the best feeling in the world, and I thank each and every person who’s taken a chance on me and my writing.

And if you don’t follow Jbrary yet – what are you waiting for? They’re rock stars in the world of children’s librarianship, and Lindsey in particular taught me SO much when I was a newbie children’s librarian.

What were some of your favourite story time books of 2022?
