MONDAY FUNDAY – 05/09/20

September 7, 2020September 4, 2020 Jane the Raincity Librarian 1 comment

Happy Labour Day, bookish friends! Goodbye summer, and good riddance – bring on the fall!!

It’s been a very long time since I last participated in the “It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?” online community. To celebrate my triumphant return I thought I do something a bit different and have a little fun with this post. Instead of sharing what I’ve been reading recently, I asked some of my mom friends to share what they’ve been reading with their toddlers! Here are a few books that have been given the toddler seal of approval.

ABBY – 19 MONTHS

“Abby is obsessed with all of Jon Klassen’s books, but I think this is her favourite, she pulls it out of her book box all the time. The illustrations crack me up.”

JONAS – 16 MONTHS

“Jonas started watching Peppa Pig at his cousins’ house, and he really seems to like it, so we bought a few Peppa books that we can read at home instead of always watching TV.”

OLIVE – 16 MONTHS

“We have so many of these touch and feel books, it’s hard to pick a favourite. Olive has started pointing at dogs when we go out for walks, so we’ve been reading lots of doggy books with her, she points at all the pictures!”

JACKSON – 18 MONTHS

“Our naptime and bedtime routine always includes stories, and we have collected a bunch of different “sleepy time” books that we keep in a basket by his bed. It’s so sweet to watch Jackson carefully tuck the little babies in for bed.”

I hope you enjoyed this little peak into what other people are reading with their little ones. What are some of your kids’ favourite books right now?
