WILD ONE (Pajama Press, 2017) is the one that started it all – published in 2017, it’s the little book that could, a simple story that made my life-long dream of authorship come true.
I’m still so incredibly proud of my first book, and it warms my heart to see it appear on library and classroom shelves and in people’s home collections. I’ve even heard of it being used as a birthday party or baby shower guest book, for loves ones to leave heartfelt messages in! I’m especially proud of how it has become a storytime staple for so many of my fellow librarians.
Now, Pajama Press are reissuing WILD ONE in a new, more compact board book format!
I’m thrilled and delighted at the prospect of this special little book reaching a new audience of young children and families in this smaller, more affordable format!
WILD ONE was inspired by the creative, energetic, imaginative young children I work with as a children’s librarian. In the years since its publication I’ve been blessed with my very own wild one, and the story feels even more applicable!
Keep your eyes out for the new board book version of WILD ONE, available August 13 through your preferred book retailer (like Indigo or Barnes & Noble, for my American friends)!
