As a children’s librarian and former devoted SRC participant (I treasured those medals for many years), this is so very exciting and rewarding, and I am so thankful to all the hardworking librarians who make each year’s Summer Reading Club such an awesome experience for kids across the country. As a shy, nerdy, bookish kid who was never very good at sports, SRC was my time to finally shine, and to be rewarded and recognized for something I was actually good at – reading!
Now if only summer wasn’t still so far away….!!!
