Top Ten Tuesday: Book Titles as Bands

April 21, 2020April 20, 2020 Jane the Raincity Librarian 12 comments

top ten tuesday (1)

What a perfect palate cleanser after yesterday’s gloomy blog post – today we’re going to be brainstorming a list of book titles that would make awesome band names! A giant thank you as always to That Artsy Reader Girl for hosting the Top Ten Tuesday challenge.

Most of these band names sound like either New Waves 80s bands, punk groups, or contemporary indie bands, and I’m OK with that.

Quarantine Mug Project (4)

Eleanor & Park

An Abundance of Katherines

The Badass Librarian of Timbuktu

Paper Towns

Quarantine Mug Project (5)

Pumpkin Heads

Wilder Girls

Sawkill Girls

Placebo Junkies

Quarantine Mug Project (6)

CosmoKnights

Snapdragon

Mooncakes

HeartStopper

OK, I’ll admit it, I cheated and made a list of 12 potential band names – I just couldn’t help it, this project was so much fun! YA and graphic novels proved to be goldmines when it came to searching for books with catchy titles that would look cool emblazoned on a CD – wait, do artists still make CDs? Anyway, whatever the format, these titles would make for pretty darn cool band names, so any aspiring musicians, you can thank me later! The covers of these books would make beautiful albums covers, too! Oh, and while you’re getting your new band off the ground, why not check out some of these books, which look pretty awesome in their own right?

Have as good a week as you can, friends, and stay safe out there.

I know! I like to think their lead singer is a girl who dresses like an old fashioned librarian crossed with Indiana Jones. 😀

I want a band called The Bad-Ass Librarians! And the rest of these bands sound pretty great, too.
