I’m thrilled to share some exciting news today for Writing Wednesday – I’ve signed a new contract with Nimbus Publishing! We will be working together to release a picture book, which is tentatively scheduled for 2022. I’m going to be a published author once again!
Without going into too much detail, this picture book is inspired by childhood memories of road trips and camping holidays through western Canada and the United States. Packing up the car, setting up the tent, splashing in the lake and toasting marshmallows under the starts – simple snapshots of simpler times. I have such happy memories of those summer vacations so long ago, and I’m excited to share some of that happiness and wonder with young readers.
I’m looking forward to working with the talented team and Nimbus, and I’m proud to be working once again with a Canadian publishing house, this time based in Halifax Nova Scotia, a city that’s dear to my heart.
Check back over the next months and years as I take you along with me on this new publishing adventure! Each book I work on brings new challenges, learning opportunities and experiences, and I hope to be able to share some of these “teachable moments” with all of you, here on Raincity Librarian.
