Poetry Friday – Blue Skies and Golden Leaves

September 15, 2017 Jane the Raincity Librarian 10 comments

Oh, how I love September! After each long, dry, dusty summer, September waltzes in with cooler temperatures, blue skies and a blaze of glorious colour. It’s without a doubt my favourite month – not only does it herald the beginning of the most wonderful season of all, it also includes my anniversary with the Raincity Software Engineer, which helped inspire this week’s poem.

I decided to keep things sweet, short and simple this week, and shared a little snapshot of an autumn stroll with my sweetheart.

Have a great autumnal weekend, everyone (or a springy weekend, if you happen to be on the other side of the world)!

It's National Kissing Day!

Aw, sweet post, Jane. September is definitely a great month — feels like a new beginning, and of course, it ushers in my favorite season. Happy Anniversary!

Happy anniversary! I love fall, too. Summer was a bear, so I am hoping to enjoy some of those blue skies and warm-handed strolls.

A lovely celebration of the season, Jane! Of course, except for the blue skies, we won’t see any of it here in Florida for some time yet. Having grown up in New York, my heart still knows it’s autumn. BTW, I think you may have missed in my blog post that you won a copy of PET CRAZY from last week’s giveaway. Awww, Jane, how adorable. My hubby is a software engineer, too. We’ve been married twenty years, and he does indeed have a warm heart.
